Joel Mazur is a Managing Partner and Founder of Axilla Capital, LLC.

 

He has originated, underwritten and closed more than $2 billion of senior debt, mezzanine and equity transactions.

 

Prior to founding Axilla, Joel led the Structured Finance Group at Meridian Capital and worked at The Carlton Group, where he was instrumental in executing several noteworthy transactions, including the $840 million joint venture equity and condominium conversion financing for New York's Manhattan House and the $450 million equity recapitalization of the Starrett-Lehigh Building.

 

Joel has extensive experience in all facets of real estate finance and investments, including business development, underwriting, due diligence, financial modeling and document negotiation. He is well versed in arranging joint venture equity partnerships and executing complex capital structures.

 

Joel Mazur is a graduate of the University of Michigan Business School. He holds a B.B.A. in Real Estate Finance.
